1st Cake Baking

Here is my 1st cake baking in my life... I never learn it in home economics class in secondary sch...





I put a lot of sugar but still taste a bit bland haha... Whew I thought I will fail at my first cake! So happy... My mum's wok make it possible to bake a cake in 15mins hehehe... It is a milo cake with a tint of Hersheys chocolate syrup...

Now going to do my hair at ICON by Shunji Matsuo @ Suntec... my friends ask me to do blonde! Wa cannot la since I need to go work as an engineer...

Tomorrow I shall do the ice cream...

Creative technology why haven call me for work? I need pay my father...

Plans

Finally submitted an application to Creative Tech to be their sales assistant once more...

They just put up a lot of job vacancies...

Sony have not put up any yet and I shall wait...

Tomorrow's task will be to bake a cake using my mum's special wok and maybe also to try and make ice-cream which I learnt from my Hokkaido trip. I miss Japan...

Now thinking what hairstyle to change for my convocation... hmm... maybe stay the same...

Now how to translate the page of japanese instructions for ice cream making? hmm...

Work

Just got back from my family business I must say really tiring due to the streneous physical work... Caught a bad flu but continued to endure thru the whole work as I need to pay something really ex...

I was absolutely shocked that using internet thru phone in Malaysia is really crazy!

S$22 for EACH MB!!! I used 19MB which is S$418!!! Paid my father first using the pay I got this weekend work of 150 dollars... Haiz now I have to find a proper work in order to pay back the rest of the crazy amount... I must tell myself no more data usage in other countries anymore...

Singtel why is there no caps for the data charges? :(

Sony and Avex when do you have job vancancies? I want to work! Hope soon they will have vacancies for me...

Though bad weekend, I realised something some of my relatives are still single... Looking at my 70+ aunt working so enthusiatically I find that I have to push myself to be like her to work my best even if I am old and single... Hearing back the chirping of the birds while I work makes my mood turns better... Thanks to the weekend and thanks to my veri veri kind friend who answered my question.

Convocation

Soon I would officially graduate from NTU after a tough 4 years of studies... thinking back I am definitely not that happy with life in NTU. My results were soso until the final 1.5 year where my results improve to Bs... Gone were the days for paying money to struggle to pass exams and I am relieved at that. Moving on towards career, I seek to have a stable job with stable income.

Now beginning to tear as I write this, the flashback of love during studies is so agonising. What is wrong with me that no one likes or loves me? I know giving too much gifts is one big problem I have cos my heart for others is always giving my all... Hope someday somewhere someone can understand my heart for her and accepts me.

Back to graduation... I will graduate on the 31st of July... The ceremony will start at 10am in NTU. And that ends my full time education although I will pick up japanese language.

I want to thank my best and only true friend Tianyi for being there for me in my everyday life...

I shall end here as I cannot see the screen or keyboard clearly anymore...

Movies

Today watched 2 movies: Sorcerer's Apprentice and Nodame!

Sorcerer's Apprentice is a good show of action but Nodame is on another level!

Nodame presents itself a continual of the prequel and 20min into the show i teared when Mine and Kiyora meet after 2 years of separation due to their music pursue... A touching movie to me but not to others in the cinema. the person beside me left at half the show because i think there is too much classical music. The caucasians in front of me say they almost slept cos of the music.

For me, the strong bond of love of the couples in the show makes me so emotional...
Hope to have one as strong as them...

Ayupan arrived

Tonight the Ayupans arrived at 9.30pm! The postman lives near my house and delivered to me instead of tomorrow! So happy...

Opening the packets makes me feel so scared that I would not get the whole set of 4 Ayupans out of the 6 packets and.... I really dint get all 4 of them :(

Never mind I will be contented with the 3 I got and hope my friend is able to exchange with me to get the whole set.

Finally I graduated from NTU!!! After 4 years of slow education process, I felt relieved. People always tell me treasure your student life but I think otherwise.. Having a job for money is more important for me as I always like to buy things. Being a student is very poor so onwards towards work! Now going to apply to Sony or Avex and work towards my dream job in Japan.

This song is a theme song to Full Metal Alchemist anime which my friend is watching faithfully... so I decided to sing it...

I am so happy... today just ordered 6 Ayupans from mu-mo.net from Japan! This is the best Ayupans created so far... kawaii ne!!!

Long time no sing....

It has been a long time since I last blogged... It was my final exam of my university life so I had to concentrate! I also had a bad mood for 2 weeks due to the amount of stress even after that. I had lost my pencil case but what is important is the contents. It contained my beloved Swarovski self-decorated pen, a Shiseido Maquillage concealer (S$43) and a FANCL lipbalm (S$17). That's not all...

I also went to kinokuniya that week, wanting to buy Scawaii june edition featuring Ayumi but it was sold out in 2 hours... Haiz

Went to the lost and found counter to find my pencil case but they say they haven sorted the stuff out and cant let me browse thru them... :(

My S$2200 custom earphone left side lost its bass so have to send back US...

I went to eat satay but they ran out of chicken meat and rice!!!! Wierd!

Everything went so bad...

Today I found my pencil case at the counter with everything intact... whew so happy and relieved! hippi! now luck is coming back to me...

Once in a while all bad things happened all together so I am glad things are turning normal...

Ayu's New album Rock and Roll Circus Review

THE introduction 5/10 - sounds like Evil boss is coming! lols. Doesn't suit ayumi's image.

Microphone 10/10 - The song I liked best! Organ + rock great combi for a dynamic contrast!

count down 6/10 - this song is a means for her voice out her left ear trouble that borthers her everyday of her life. I feel the heaviness in her voice but the tune is not that nice to listen to.

Sunset ~LOVE is ALL~ 8/10 - I like this better than the sunrise. The tune is much suited for slow tempo.

BALLAD 10/10 - this song made me cry in the chorus. Liked it so much that I made a recording in my blog There is a tough part to sing this at the 3.07 mark of the song where the "ite" needs to go down a semitone before doing a crying technique.

Last Links 6/10 - this song at first impacted me because it started with audio coming from right side only which symbolises her left ear problem. quite hard to adjust to it when u listen to it, right? The song is a normal song to me.

montage 9/10 - church bell + strings + organ shows orchestra style emotion.

Don't look back 7/10 - the song is very arabic haha... but i dont like it that much.

Jump! 8/10 - sounds very techno to me lols. At the ending there is a show of digital signal processing for surround effect which is linked to my thesis in my University. I liked it.

Lady Dynamite 9/10 - Great song with good mastering effects. The virtual space created is wide and cosy at the same time.

Sexy little things 10/10 -I would agree with everyone that it is the best song! It is already used by my friend to show his project demonstration haha. Realli sexy. The layering is great where the midi tune is "floating" behind the drums. Then the accompaniment instruments are at the far left and right with ayumi voice right at the center. Tempo is right to let ppl wan to dance with the song

Sunrise ~LOVE is ALL~ 5/10 - This fast song shouldn't be put here behind sexy little things cos it will contrast and sound worse than sexy little things. personally also dont like this song that much. cos the instruments clashes together like a mess sounds untidy to me. Ayu's voice also dont stand out well. The mastering is not good at all.

meaning of Love 10/10 - this song made me cry like mad... I disagree with others that it is a bad song. the first phrase already made me cry. the chorus is even more emotional. This song can be used in a drama theme song.

You were... 8/10 - This song shows huge emotion but does not made me cry. its just letting listeners have a place to escape to...

RED LINE ~for TA~ 8/10 - this song encourages me to go on with life and take it easy on things. Nice song to sing along also I realised the drums sounds very live, like Ayu is doing it on stage.

OVERALL: 8/10

For me, maybe because I have better than average equipments to listen to songs, I tend to hear more details so that is why my ratings are like this haha. I always seek neatly mastered songs + good tunes.

FANCL lip cream (SGD17)


My lips always dry up and become ugly... so found a good lip cream using beewax.
Beewax is a essential ingredient for all good lip balms. other brands that uses petroleum jelly (petrolatum) which to me sounds toxic... lol imagine putting petrol oil on your lips yucks...

Another good brand will be Burt's Bees beewax lip balm. But dont buy the one with honey as it stinks... you can try Sephora which sells it at SGD8. A cheaper place to buy is

Haiz my tummy getting a little fat... cannot stand it anymore... so buy toning lotion which has started to work quite well for about 3 days already...

New Year New Purchases!

Now I have completed my home recording studio with 4 equipments. The Sony CD900ST headphone which Ayumi uses in her studio, the Sony F780/9X microphone which Ayumi uses on stage, a Shure microphone USB preamp that connects to my computer using Sony Acid Pro software to record my tracks and lastly a K&M microphone stand! hehe... Seems all are Sony stuff lolz... Now I can do proper recordings without any background noise! hehehe... These cost a total of 1000 dollars! Wa I didn't realised that until now haha...



Japanese Fashion Magazines!!! Haha I bought 3 fashion magazines which has Ayumi on the cover! Loved all the magazines as I can read about Ayumi! Moreover I get to learn how to help gals do makeup or even dress them up haha... ViVi mag is Ayu's own mag so every of her blog entry will be reprinted in every issue of magazines. Bea's UP mag features 20 pages on eyes makeup and also the various makeup sets that make it to the top rankings in Japan! Sweet mag feature beautiful Ayumi with a cute flower on her head! It also contains a free tote bag from Cher's! Only Japanese magazines contains free luxury branded free gifts now I know why ppl need to call Kinokuniya to book the magazines before they get sold out!!!



Finally just bought a pink umbrella from Isetan! My old Espirit umbrella is leaking!!! Yes leaking even though there is no hole... :( hmmmm... dunno wat happened. So now I buy an even more expensive japanese umbrella with double layer covering, UV protection and wind breakage protection so my umbrella will be durable... There goes my 44 dollars to Isetan lolz luckily there is a 10percent discount hehe... :)



Here is something I found out from Ayumi's blog! She loves Pocari Sweat! lolz... So I went to Isetan to buy both the Japanese made (S$3.40) and Indonesian made ($1.40) Pocari Sweat to try out the difference... and... the result is..... Japanese one definitely tastes so much better! It really quenches the thirst and soothes the throat and it is a little sweeter so doesnt taste as salty as the Indonesian one hehe... but for that price haiz... I can only drink once in a while.

Singing Ayu's 2nd song "BALLAD"

Whew today I got a shocked! My wristband and light stick is being shipped to me right now when the expected date of arrival should be 19th Jan! Wow! Haha Sugoii! I love Japan!

Haha after 3 days of constant practise of Ayu's song "BALLAD" I finally can sing it without listening to the track with Ayu singing... Watching its music video I cried... Because the BF of Ayumi died and she kept sending letters to him in Heaven.



The toughest part of the song is the at the 3.08 marking where the pitch has to go down a semitone and then do a crying technique. This song also requires a lot of control to hold the notes. Whew I managed to do it... but dont think it is good enough haha.

Buying Craze again!

Today is the day when CDL products are released at 5pm SG time...

Went to school to look at the anechoic chamber in MAE to do my final year project then at 4pm I rushed home hehe cos school's internet is way too slow!

Sitted eagerly in front of my computer at home at 4.45pm I waited for 5pm to strike and click the buy button. At first there was a jam in the site.. must be a lot of ppl buying! then I finally got my purchases! wow the hoodies and t-shirts are all sold out within 30min! But i didnt want to get one haha...

So here is the products I bought! Light Stick, Wristband, T-shirt and Pendant!


The pendant is made of 925 silver with cubic zorconia crystal(diamond replacement)
T-shirt I love Ayu pic on it!
Light stick first time it is in pink light! I have last year's blue one!
wristband I like the cool logo ~ veri gothic looking!

the t-shirt, light stick and wristband will come to me next month. but the pendant i have to wait till 5th march!!! Wat a long wait!

Now I am super broke lol. need to save more! haiz...

New Year! New Stuff!

New year has come and I have new plans and buy new things!

Bea's UP magazine Jan issue will arrive at Kinokuniya on 4th Jan at 8pm! The cover features none other than... Ayumi Hamasaki

5th Jan is important for me because Ayu's first commercial pendant is being sold on mu-mo.net and I must grab it. The sale starts at 1700 SG time and I will camp at home to place an order! too bad I cant wear earrings if not i will grab it too!

Hope the Shure x2u preamplifier will come to the store soon so I can record better quality voice hehe...

Ayumi's new singles has been released and I love all the new songs especially "You were..." which I attempted to sing :)
Ballad which is a theme song in one of a Disney fairy movie sounds very chinese oriental.
Then a song specially written for Team Ayu member's titled Red Line which is a lively light hearted song that brings peace in my mind :)

NTU exam results released on 30th and guessed wat haha this is my best sem for all the four years in NTU. Whew! All are expected except for HRM EE4041 which I got only a C what the hell waste my time man doing all the shit work... I am the class rep somemore... they say have bonus marks for being class rep... but on the good side haha I got Bs for other subjects! I realised that listening to music while studying really helps me a huge load! and to study near exam not too early... haiz too late to realised that now as its my final sem for the next 4 months... Can only work my best to maintain the grades haha... As I said Ayumi is my inspiration! following her ways will make me better!

Just bought another Vivi Magazine Feb issue which has Ayu on the cover! And file of the same size so that I can carry Jap magazines when i go out to read while travelling!

The countdown is so great! I was catching NHK JP live at 6.15pm SG time the " Kōhaku Uta Gassen / 紅白歌合戦 / Red and White Song Battle " haha and Ayumi was the first singing RULE! the show last till 10.00pm SG time

Then I switch to TBS JP at 10.45pm for the CDTV countdown show! EXILE was on the show thoroughout the super long show of 6 hours till 4am! hehe my endurance is good I watched the whole show! Haha... and Ayumi appeared at 1.36pm! She sang You Were... and Rule. Her pink dress is so nice! With a big flower decoration on her hair!

Now waiting for her album to be announced coming this sem! I read somewhere that Japanese CDs are better in quality because they demagnetise the blanks cds before recording the albums hehe thats why I hear a lot of difference from the Singapore album and the Japan one! Japan CDs FTW!
